Boquete Fairgrounds

The fairgrounds just across the river from the central town square is host to the huge annual Feria de las Flores y del Cafe (Flowers and Coffee Festival). This internationally acclaimed festival is held in mid-January, drawing thousands of visitors. On Easter Sunday April 24, 2011 the floral displays and crowds were much smaller, but still very beautiful. Local artists were on hand to sell their hand made native costumes and elegant jewelry, on a delightful sunny afternoon. Boquete is in Chiriqui province, in the northern area of Panama, a short drive from David which is the capital of the province. Hope you enjoy the photos taken while strolling through the grounds.
